  2. Hi everybody,

  4. If anyone is still plagued with the double-vbl problem on their Falcon/VGA, then
  5. here's a permanent cure for it:
  6.  
  7. Look for the 3 black inductors just below the monitor port on the Falcon PCB. The
  8. two leftmost inductors are the horizontal & vertical sync lines. The third is the
  9. composite video signal. Remove the two on the left and replace them with a couple
  10. of 75ohm resistors.
  11.  
  12. After making this modification, the double-vbl problem will disappear.
  13.  
  14. The problem itself is simply (weak) echos on the vertical sync line bouncing
  15. between the monitor and Falcon, sometimes setting off an extra vertical blank. The
  16. load resistors eliminate the echos and allow the Falcon to stay in sync with the
  17. monitor.
